Data Innovations’ EP Evaluator 12.1 Enables Tighter Integration with Instrument Manager

October 22, 2018 – SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT

Data Innovations, the world leader in Quality Assurance software for the clinical laboratory, announces the launch of EP Evaluator (EE) Release 12.1.

The new release of EE 12.1 can now be licensed with Instrument Manager™ for individual installations and networked installations in the Professional Version. This single license system allows for a simplified licensing and renewal process. EE Professional users can now acquire their data from Instrument Manager without setting up a Database Source Name (DSN) connection. The connection between the bundled EE and IM system is automatic and allows for easy access to data from multiple IM systems by clicking the new IM button, available from the EE Data Acquisition window.

Several features have been added to simplify and enhance the set up and use of EE. We have streamlined the installation process for setting up the EE thin clients by automating the creation of a link back to the EE base system after you run the executable file. You can also import lot numbers, reagent, control, and calibrator information from .csv files to help reduce errors and save time. There has also been updates to the EE documentation, including links to instructional videos to help you learn how to use the features in EP Evaluator.

In addition, we have updated the Composite and the Linearity and Calibration Verification reports. Composite reports now have the option of grouping reports by Analyte as well as the traditional grouping by experiment. If the Composite Report by Analyte option is chosen, the report will have the analytes in alphabetical order and the associated Report Interpretation Guides (RIGs) will print at the end. This allows for easy medical review of all experiments related to an analyte without the need to manually sort.

“With the new licensing process, we have streamlined the combined use of our two flagship products: EP Evaluator and Instrument Manager,” said Premila Peters, President of Data Innovations. “And with that simplified process, we have made it easier for our customers to purchase, install and use our products. This takes away from the time spent on administrative tasks and allows you to focus on what matters most, the patients.”
